Medical Schools in Pakistan In Pakistan, a medical school is more often referred to as a medical college. A medical college is affiliated with a university as a department which usually has a separate campus. Currently, there are a total of 117 medical colleges in Pakistan, 59 of which are public and 58 private. All but two colleges are listed in International Medical Education Directory. All medical colleges and universities are regulated by the respective provincial department of health. They however have to be recognized after meeting a set criteria by a central regulatory authority called Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). Entrance into the medical colleges is based on merit under the guidelines of PMDC. IELTS Results A Test Report Form is posted to test takers 13 days after their test. It shows: ·          An Overall Band Score (from 1-9) ·          A band score (from 1-9) for each section of the test (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) ·          Whether IELTS Academic or General Training was completed ·          The test taker’s photo, nationality, first language and date of birth. Test takers receive one copy of their Test Report Form, apart from test takers who are applying to the  Department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada  (CIC) or  UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) who receive two copies.
