The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)

The University has built a credible reputation and has expanded rapidly since its establishment. It has three schools: Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) and School of Science and Engineering (SSE).

SSE offers a four-year undergraduate program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in one of the following six majors: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics.
It also offers MS & PhD programs in Computer Science and Computer Engineering.
Undergraduate Admissions
Eligibility
Applicants who have completed FA/FSc, A’ Levels, High School Diploma, or IB must satisfy any one of the following academic qualifications:
  • Matric (with at least 60% marks) and FA (with at least 60% marks) / FSc (with at least 65% marks)
  • O’ Levels results (in at least 6 subjects) & Advanced Level (at least 2 Bs and 1 C grade in three principal subjects such that there should be no more than 1 C grade and no grade less than a C across three principal subjects in the A' Level examination). No credit will be given for any Advanced Subsidiary, General Paper.
  • American High School Diploma (at least 80% or an average B grade)
  • International Baccalaureate (at least 30 or above points out of 45)
  • Any other equivalent qualification (minimum acceptable scores will be determined by the Admissions Committee). The decision of the Admissions Committee will be final.

Admission Tests:
1) SAT I
The SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I) is mandatory for all applicants applying to the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities & Social Sciences (MGSHSS), Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL). SAT I Registration can be done online through the following link: https://www.collegeboard.org.
Applicants applying to the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE) are required to take the following two admissions tests in order to be considered for admission:
1. SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I); and
2. LUMS SBASSE Subject Test

SAT I & LUMS SBASSE Admissions Test are mandatory for all applicants applying to the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE).
All applicants must successfully submit their complete online admission application on or before February 17, 2015, 5:00 pm (Pakistan Standard Time).
In order to be considered for the “First Round” of admissions, applicants are required to take the SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I) .

IELTS Scoring

IELTS Scoring Test takers receive a score for each test component – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The individual scores are then averaged and rounded to produce an Overall Band Score. Band scale There is no pass or fail. IELTS is scored on a nine-band scale, with each band corresponding to a specified competence in English. Overall Band Scores are reported to the nearest half band.
