SAT II (SAT – SUBJECT TESTS)
- What is SAT-II?
SAT Subject Tests are designed to assess your academic readiness for college.
- Some colleges require the applicants to take SAT-II Subject Tests in addition to SAT-I.
- Subject Tests provide schools with a standard measure of academic performance, which they use to compare the applicants from different high schools and different educational backgrounds. This information helps them to decide whether a student is ready to handle their curriculum.
- SAT-II tests demonstrate your interest, knowledge, and skill in specific topics and can measure your and every other applicant’s knowledge and skills. SAT-II tests allow colleges to easily compare you to other applicants.
- Colleges use SAT II tests to determine placement.
- SAT-II tests you must take are those that are required by the colleges you are interested in.
- Good SAT I and SAT II scores are required not only in securing admission in top schools but also in winning financial aid/scholarship for a candidate as SAT scores do enjoy a heavyweight in decisions concerning scholarship awards.
